Furore

The name of Furore derives from the sound of the raging sea pounding against the valley below. Here you can find the only fjord exhisting in the Mediterranean Sea (the Fjord of Furore) as well as the most beautiful and spectacular terraced gardens overlooking the sea and sun-kissed all the year, cultivated with fine grapes.

Despite the difficult terrain, the hard work of man succeeded, over the centuries, to tear strips of land to the mountain, to realize stone walls and steep paths running vertically, to weave pergolas on which centenarian vines are reclined (aglianico, falanghina, biancolella, ripoli, ginestra, fenile, tintore, piedirosso, pepella, sciascinoso).
