Positano

Among the most beautiful towns of the Amalfi Coast, often named "the pearl of the coast". In Roman times it was a resort as evidenced by the discovery of a villa beneath the church of Santa Maria Assunta, access to the villa took place by sea. Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a resort since the time of the Roman Empire.

There are various legends about Positano, several of its possible origins, by Poseidon, god of the sea according to the Greeks, who have founded for his beloved, Pasitea, the Phoenicians or Picentinis.
