Ravello
The economy of Ravello has always demonstrated a strong ability to adapt to market demands; in fact, it can be divided into three periods that correspond to those which are the stresses historical longer present in the succession of centuries. The first historical period of the political life of the city, the greater power of the Duchy Coast, was characterized by a first class role in trade relations between this area and the ports of the Byzantine East and North African Studies.
Alongside this activity, however, is also developed that "tourist", with the first inn, who welcome guests especially during the winter months, came here for the good climate all year round. The fame of the place grew quickly thanks to the presence of cultural personalities who chose Ravello and the Amalfi Coast as a holiday resort and soon the economy has been completely transformed. No more trades or agriculture as the main activity but tourism in the third period, with strong growth in accommodation facilities of the luxury category.
